I am drawn to everyday scenes that tell a story. This scene is a typical quiet morning when very few people are around. I want the viewer to feel the peacefulness of this older neighborhood and feel the sun on their backs as they imagine walking down the sidewalk. I want the viewer to think about the people in the houses across the street and wonder what they are doing and where they are. I think there is a lot of beauty in a scene like this, even though it’s a little run-down. This neighborhood has character, history and a story to tell.
